Begin by downloading the Candy_Hierarchy-2016-2017.xlsx file using the Internet link found on the Week 10 Assignment 1 page in the Canvas website. Open your copy of Tableau Prep and connect to the data source you just downloaded. This is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, so you will use the Microsoft Excel connection option. The spreadsheet has 2 tabs, one for 2016 and one for 2017. Drag both to the work area. Before you start "cleaning" the data, select the "Save As' option to save your tableau flow as a Packaged Tableau Prep flow file with Lastname- Tableau-Prep-1.tflx as the name where Lastname is your last name. Remember to make it a .tflx file, NOT a .tfl file. After this initial save you can use the standard 'Save' option or the disk icon on the upper left side of the screen.
