1. Bias has been defined as an inclination towards a specific attitude or preconceived opinion about certain groups of people or things. A stereotype represents a widespread view of a particular group which does not take into consideration intrinsic, individual characteristics. In applying the guidelines, material should be reviewed for words, images, and situations that reinforce erroneous perceptions or suggest that all or most members of a racial or ethnic group are the same.
2. Students that fail to comply will get a mark of zero (0) on their assignment.
