Blake and Krystal own an estate in Denver. It is 100 acres and very luxurious. However, because the grounds are so large, it is possible for someone to be on them and never be discovered. From time to time, Blake would walk the grounds and notice that some homeless people had set up camp in a remote area that had been cleared, but he never saw them. Earlier that year, the Environmental Protection Agency decided that long-tailed hamsters were in danger of becoming extinct and put them endangered species list. The Agency had hearings and promulgated rules that said not only was the hunting of long-tail hamsters illegal, but owners of property that allowed hunting could also be fined. The fine would be subject to the discretion of the Agency officer who witnessed the infraction. One day, Alexis is visiting because Blake and Krystal INVITED her to stay for the weekend. While out and about, Alexis notices several long-tailed hamsters at the homeless site. She is terrified of them and shoots them and kills them.
