BMIT5103/JAN16/A-NK INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR MANAGERS ASSIGNMENT QUESTION OBJECTIVE : The objective of this assignment is to enable learners to propose the use of Business Intelligence (BI) applications for organisations. The use of Business Intelligence applications will help develop knowledge amongst students to aid organisation to discover insights and relationships within the data in order to improve its business performance. TASK : 1. Write a literature review on BI (Business Intelligence). 2. Select two organisations which have used BI applications. Analyse and discuss how they have used BI applications to improve their business performance. 3. Select a well known organisation which has not used any BI application. Provide a description of the organisation. Also analyse various forms of data (manual/electronic) stored and collected by this organisation.
