Bob Villa and Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor are next door neighbors. Bob and Tim both host television home improvement shows: Bob's show is very popular and is broadcast internationally, whereas Tim's show has mediocre ratings, due to Tim's ineptitude and the numerous near-fatal accidents that have occurred on his show. Tim is very resentful and jealous of Bob's success and hates Bob immensely. One Saturday afternoon, Tim finished a year-long project refurbishing a 1956 Chevrolet "Woody" station wagon. Tim - being proud of his accomplishment - decided to take the "Woody" out for a spin. Evidence of Tim's mechanical ineptitude was displayed when Tim backed the "Woody" out of his garage. The accelerator and steering column of the "Woody" stuck, causing Tim to back out of his garage at a very high speed and veer into and over Bob's prize-winning rose bush. Bob's rose bush was completely destroyed. Bob decided to sue Tim for destruction of personal property. Tim approached Bob and asked him not to file a claim in court; instead Tim suggested to Bob that, "we sit down, just the two of us, and settle this matter without the time-consuming hassle and expense of a court case." Bob agreed and the neighbors sat down and reached an amicable resolution to the incident. What form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) did Tim and Bob utilize?
