Both production function and cost function depend on labor (work force). However, work force characteristics change from generation to generation. For the first time in history, there are currently five different generations in the work force, based on birth yearTraditionalists (pre-1946), Baby Boomers (1946-1964), Generation X (1965-1976), Millennials (1977-1997), and Generation Z (after 1997). These multiple generations encompass an immense amount of diversity.

How far do you think firms should go in order to accommodate each work force generation's differences in order to retain productive workers?
