Based on Newcrest, discuss at least 1 business risk and the relevant class of transaction/account balance and assertion that may be at a high risk of misstatement due to the business risk identified. If you have more time, you can include more business risks. 3. Each group's answer will be shared with the whole class and critically evaluated by the class. It is hoped that this will help everyone identify the strengths and weaknesses in the answers which will then help with the actual assessment. Retain the answers which will be used in Workshop 12 to address Requirement 2. 4. It is a good idea to nominate one person to take notes and be in charge of the presentation before the group starts the discussion.
