Business Document Assignment
Your organization has decided to send an introductory email to its potential customers. The goal is to introduce your organization/ and its products or services. You can take this chance to include any promotion you have (discount, membership, special deal, etc.). Please do not use any existing brand or business/ organization. Make up your own.
You need to establish goodwill with potential customers, so they will prefer to do business with you. Think of your Reader Benefits and what offers you can give them to maintain their loyalty. Your product's written communication represents you and your company, so your goal is always to make it clear, concise, and professional. Keep in mind that many people like to review their email quickly and are annoyed by spam.
For this assignment, you need to upload (1) an email, and (2)a background brief.
- A one-page email to your customers (three paragraphs minimum). Create a simple template for the email (to, from, subject, date)
2. Upload an additional page that includes the background information (the following points)
- What is your business? Government, corporate, or non-profit organization? Pick a type of business that you are familiar with.
- What is the name of your organization? This should be apparent in the email (remember your customers might be hearing about you for the first time)
- Who are your customers, and what will interest them? Pick the primary audience for the email? What information are they familiar with, and what do they need to know?
- What is your subject line (title)? Make sure it is clear and appealing.
