Business intelligence (BI) is a technology-driven process for analyzing data and delivering actionable information that helps executives, managers and workers make informed business decisions. As part of the Bl process, organizations collect data from internal IT systems and external sources, prepare it for analysis, run queries against the data and create data visualizations, Bl dashboards and reports to make the analytics results available to business users for operational decision-making and strategic planning. Considering the first 4 platforms we have reviewed this semester, (ERP, WMS, TMS, MRP), explain what types of information are available from each of these sub-systems. For each sub-system identify 5 key analytical report examples. In addition, list 1 master and 1 transactional file required. An example of a key report from ERP is "profitability by customer" which would need a Customer Master and a Sales Order transaction file.
