C. Research Process Step #11 - Oral Presentation/Summary This process step involves two parts: 1. PowerPoint presentation (5 points) - Slides to include: Identifying MLA header (same as would be required for a formal assignmentfull name of student, name of instructor, class and section, process step name and number, date) Research topic and reason for chosen topic Brief description of controversy surrounding topic Position on subject - clear argumentative claim Brief description of areas explored for support of claim Brief description of areas explored for refutation of claim New knowledge or insight gained from research Reflection on research process itself 2. Slides need to be clear and not overcrowded with too many words and/or distracting images or pictures and too much information crammed onto one slide. 3. Minimum of 10 slides required. 4. Points deducted for errors with grammar, usage, and mechanics. 5. A separate summary (3 points) is also required for this pro
