Use the plans and tables provided in Canvas to determine the sizes and dimension details like the example in class.

Change M$3$ in the erection plan to W$24$x$76$ in the framing plan. Sketch your connection detail first then draw it in CAD.

Turn in the sketch in class or scan it and upload it in Canvas.

Draw a $1-$A$3($A$325-$N$)$ standard web joint connection using $3/4"$ diameter, $2$ L$\text{'}$s $4\frac{31}{2}\frac{5}{16}\frac{81}{2}.$

Top of beams are flush with $+{56}^{\text{'}}-8^{\text{'}\text{'}}$ elevation.

Cope cut is to be made on the W$1430$ beam.

The minimum cope on the W$1430$ beam should be equal to the $"k"$ distance of the W$2476$ beam.

Measuring the cut from the backs of the connecting angles, the minimum cut is equal to $\frac{1}{2}"$ plus the $"$a$"$ distance of the W$2476$ beam.

If the fractional part of the cut dimension is not in fourths of an inch, it is customary to raise the fractional part of the cut dimension to the next highest $\frac{1}{4^{\text{'}\text{'}}}.$

Show all detailing dimensions

Layout the drawing to an appropriate scale on a size A portrait sheet with a title block that includes the title, sheet number $1,$ date, draftsmen name, and scale.
