can i get a positive feedback about the post below made by my classmate.
This reading was very interesting, it shows you why Walmart is successful in what it does. It also shows you why data analytics is important for any business. It gives you a better understanding of whats going on and whats being sold and what isnt being sold. They analyze many transactions hourly, this gives them a better picture of customer behavior. Walmart pays very close attention to whats going on with its supply chain which makes it a profitable business. Walmart also has Retail-Link which allows all suppliers to track the movement of its products. This is genius it makes the supply chain run smoother with real data and updates processing with real time and real customer behavior. In better understanding walmart does not need to order products because the supplier knows whats going on so when a item is running low they can send it. In the long run when you invest in Data analytics it will help your supply chain with intelligence and also save you money. I believe all businesses should take a page out of walmarts book and learn data analytics it will save time, help with inventory cost and protect you from running out of supply when the demand is there. I work in a warehouse they have many locations throughout America, but they have not invested in data analytics, but they should because they have many products in the warehouse which arent being sold but are taking up space and this costes them money because they dont have space for products they need and then they have to send that to another warehouse. If they studied the behavior and customers transactions much this would help their supply chain. I strongly believe analytics is important in any business but mostly a business that deals with a supply chain, but this is the catch supply chain is everywhere and every business deals with it. Things run out things don't get sold, there will always be a need for things moving throughout the world and in America data analytics can help all supply chains to run better and be more effective for both businesses and customers.
