Can I please get help on the below assignment? I am having difficulty to answer the requirement.
Assignment 3 is about system integration plan and system validation plan. The outcome of Assignment 2 is a set ofinformation that can be subcontracted to different manufacturers to build the system components and subsystems.Ultimately, these components and subsystems are required to work in harmony as one system.
Back in week 2, you learn that test plans must be developed in parallel with the corresponding level of design.
System engineers are more interested in system performance. In Assignment 3, you should focus your test plans totesting specifications at system (top) and subsystems (functional) levels.
Since all subsystems must be tested before assembling into the final system, the number of subsystem test plans
would be similar to the number of functions that you have expanded in Assignment 2. This means when you test thesubsystems, they are not working together in the total system setting. They have to be tested separately. Your
subsystem test plans are expected to show that the subsystem performance can be measured independently. On thecontrary, a system is the integration of subsystems together. Your system test plan (validation) is obviously not justtesting the subsystems sequentially. The system validation plan should demonstrate satisfaction of user requirements.
To complete the system design, all Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FICs) must be specified in conjunction with thesystem. The FICs include not only the "normal" system, but also seven other inputs from different perspectives. Theseother inputs are external to the "system". Without these inputs, the "normal" system is only an asset or an investmentbut will not be able to perform and produce the required outcomes.
