Can someone explain Question 8C for me? It says: "Because the first eigenvalue is so much larger (2.20) than the others, the data scientists uses just the first principal component in a regression model. What is the largest number of original 7 covariates that can be represented in that first principal component?" And the answer is 7. Why is it 7? What is "original 7 covariates"? 7th component has 0.05 eigenvalue, but they choose the largest one, which is component 1 and 2.20 eigenvalue. I don't understand this part. Thank you.
