Name Read + n + Draw Date Activity 3 In order to complete this design correctly you will need a ruler. You must complete the steps in numerical order. Make sure you complete each step before you go on to the next step. 1. Draw a frame that is 10" wide and 72" long centered on your paper. Turn your paper so it is oriented horizontally. 2. Draw a horizontal line 5 2" long and 2" down from the top-left corner. Have it touch the left border. 3. Draw an identical parallel line 1" down from the line drawn in step two. 4. Draw a diagonal line from the right end of the top line segment to a point 2" to the left of the top-right corner. I 5. Draw another diagonal line from the right end of the bottom line segment to a point 6" down from the upper-right corner. Have this line touch the border. 6. Draw a third diagonal line starting 5" down the left border to a point 6" to the right of the top-left corner. Do not draw in the space between the two horizontal lines. 7. Draw a vertical line 12" to the left of the bottom-right corner. Draw up until you reach the diagonal line you drew in step five. 8. Draw five more vertical lines, making each of these lines 2" to the left of the previously drawn line. Stop each line at the diagonal line you drew in step five. 9. Draw a horizontal line starting 2" up from the bottom-left corner. Draw the line from the left border until you reach the last vertical line you drew. 10. Starting from the left border, draw another horizontal line 2" above the one you just drew. Make this line 2" longer. 11. Draw three more horizontal lines above the ones just drawn. Make each of them 2" higher and 2" longer than the previous one. Start drawing all of these from the left border. 12. Color your completed design
