Can you explain this please? Basic drugs (e.g., cinnarizine) has higher absorption with food. On the other hand, absorption of basic drug is reduced when gastric acid secretion is reduced. I thought a basic drug will be less ionized and thus more absorbed in basic conditions so if gastric acid secretion is reduced, shouldn't it be more absorbed rather than less absorbed?
