System Description: Car Rental System (CRS) The Car Rental System is a web-based applicaton that allows visitors to register as customers and make a vehicle booking. Customers may select the type of vehicle (e.g. saloon, MPV, etc.) and specify the pick-up and return date. The system will search for the available vehicle from the existing schedule. If the vehicle is available, the system will update the schedule and inform the customer. Apart from vehicle booking, CRS should also allow the staff to record the pickup and return of the booked vehicle, including the early and late return. The system should be able to be easily modified if the database or user interfaces are needed to be changed. The payment processing module should be separated from web module for security reasons.
