Managerial accounting plays a huge role within my company especially when it comes down to the Health , Safety , & environmental department . My department is responsible for ensuring all employees are complaint safety wise .Weather that's for certifications or keeping up with physicals and drug screenings . We currently have 8 facilities in different regions so pricing for services is forever changing. I price dive physicals , drug testing & certification classes such as (First Aid CPR , Occupational Physicals , & CDL certifications ) . I must report the cost to each location so that when December comes around each location can budget properly based on the number of employees and annual testing needing to be done . For example , First Aid CPR & AED training here in Houston may cost me 89$ , but in our Californian office it may be 100$ per person because a on site group class is required .
Cost accounting plays a huge role as well within my company , the way our industry is set up we must abide by certain guidelines depending on what company we bid jobs for . Example of this would be working for a company that has their own drug management system , we then must pay to enroll which is usually between 200-400$ even if the job is for a week . The fees are annual so if we have more work the following year we must pay again or if not we can do away with it . So, our output varies depending on the job and the company.
