A clinical psychologist has developed a new type of therapy for treating panic disorder and she is interested in conducting a study to determine whether or not the new therapy is more effective (or not) than the conventional therapy she has been using. She has access to 25 patients who has been diagnosed with panic disorder. She randomly assigns the patients to one of two groups: Conventional Therapy (N = 13) or New Therapy (N = 12). After receiving 8 weeks of therapy, the patients are assessed using a standard 20-point scale of panic disorder (0 = no panic attacks and no symptoms; 20 very high frequency of panic attacks and other symptoms). Using the data below, determine whether or not there was any difference between the New Therapy and the Conventional Therapy. SHOW ALL WORK.
