Capacity Management (Fall 2022) RCC currently has 15 coachers, including 10 champion coaches (e.g., ones won champion and/or hold master titles) who can teach all level classes: elementary, intermediate, advanced, and competitive, and 5 advanced coaches who can teach elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. The class size is 10 students for elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels, and 5 for the competitive level. The number of enrolled students for Fall 2022 are 200, 500, 200, and 100 for elementary, intermediate, advanced, and competitive levels, respectively. The corresponding prices are $35, $40, $45, and $55 per session, respectively. Each class usually has one session per week. There are 15 sessions in total for Fall 2022. Coaches are paid at a fixed rate regardless of the level and the number of enrollment. Specifically, advanced coaches are paid $150 per session and champion coaches are paid $200 per session. On average, each champion coach can teach up to 5 classes regardless of the size and level, and each advanced coach can teach up to 20 classes. The retention rates are different for different coaches. On average, for advanced coaches, the rates are 70%, 80%, and 90% for elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels, respectively; for champion coaches, the rates are 80%, 85%, 95%, and 95%, respectively. RCC has three semesters each year: winter/spring, summer, and fall. It takes two semesters to complete the elementary level, three semesters to complete the intermediate level, and another three semesters for the advanced level. The competitive level can last indefinitely.
