You could do the same thing with growth, for example by researching compound interest in a bank account. Think of a question you can research and answer that using exponential growth or decay. Your capstone project should focus on something that you are interested in. It should be something you research and work on for several weeks and would be proud to submit to college admissions in a portfolio. Some ideas of what you can do are: Prove an elaborate math theory; study the history of joint-stock companies; follow an investment in the market; do a case study of a local company's finances; etc. Let me know if you need help producing a driving question.
