1. Describe the position of each car as a function of time x(t)=...

2. Start cars 2,000 meters apart and facing each other. If kinematics is a reasonable way to describe the motion of the cars, where will they meet? Follow the steps below. 


Use the x(t) functions describing the motion of the two cars to predict where they will meet. While you are making the prediction, think of the assumptions that you are making. One of these assumptions is that the cars move at constant speed right from the moment they are released. Will this assumption affect the prediction of where they will meet? If yes, then how?


I answered #2; i just need to know if i answered right.
My answer for #2: 

  1. One fast and one slow; two meters apart.

    Car A= 137.4 t - (1)
    Car B= x-200= - 647.36 - (2)
    x= -647.3 t + 200

    -647.3 t+ 200= 137.4 t


T (647.3+ 137.4)= 200 



t=200/784.7= 0.255 

x= 35.02 or 0.35 m APART from car A and 1.65 m APART from car B.
