Ship Specification

• The specifications of the ship are as follows:
• No reefer plugs are in the hatch
• Reefer units cannot be loaded beyond the second tier
• Maximum weight for each cell (column) below deck is 50t
• Maximum weight for each position (column) on deck is 100t

The group is required to:

1. Prepare appropriate Outline plan/prestow based on the port rotation given

(30 marks)

2. Properly allocate the bay numbering address (row and tier). (10 marks)

(Note: the left side of the page is the portside)

3. Plan the bay properly so that no restow (rehandling) of cargo is required (write the container numbers in the bay position ensuring that the number, size, type, weight and POD (port of destination) are reflected. Port Alyssa is the 1^st POD and Port Willes is the 2^nd POD.
