You are the Banquet Manager for Eastern Hotel. Your team consists of various backgrounds- gender, age, and educational background. Three of your staff came to complain that they find it difficult to work with Ms Rosie, the banquet server. They say she is old, can't do much serving and she is always sick. They ask you to terminate Rosie and bring in a younger lady. But you know Rosie is a very experienced employee, she is a permanent employee and she needs the money to support her sick husband and young children. You know you can't terminate her job without any reason. Likewise, you also dont want to demotivate your other staff. What would you do to solve this problem? Explain in detail.

CASE STUDY 5

You are working in the HR department in Hotel Bayview. Your hotel recruits a diverse group of employees from all over the world; from different races, religions, gender, age, culture, and ethnic groups. Some are full-time staff, some are part-timers and some are interns. The General Manager told you to organize three events for the year 2019 to bring all the staff together so that the gap in their differences are closed and their team spirit is stronger.
