CASE STUDY 5: The Same Last Names Got Mixed Up: The Importance of Communication in Negotiation On December 14, 2018, over the weekend, three NBA teams learned some tough lessons about the importance of communication in negotiation after a trade deal between the Memphis Grizzlies, the Phoenix Suns, and the Washington Wizards fell through.
