Case Study Overview: To analyze the interaction design, usability and design of online/mobile systems. The feedback and recommendations will be based on the course content as well as additional research resources you find appropriate. Details: Pick a website / app of a company within a horizontal industry (food industry, retail, service, etc.). Select a process that requires multipart tasks to complete either registration for the website or service or online ordering. Part of the analysis will be to identify "pain points" of the process and a solution to fix them. Part One: Tasks / Analysis 1. Look at the process of the site/app and take appropriate notes and screen shots (if necessary) of the interaction flow. 2. Note ease of interaction with the process. 3. Note the "pain points" during the interaction with the process. 4. Revisit the process a few times and note the ease of interaction and/or "pain points" as repeat visitors/users. Part Two: Deliverables Using the information, data, and analysis from the site/app visits for the following deliverables: 1. For the current process: a. Identification of the site. b. Describe the process and the "pain points" encountered (include screen shots of the "pain points"). c. Create Use Case and User Story for the motivations of use. d. Create detailed wireframe(s) of the current process. 2. Improvements: a. The recommended course of actions to improve the site interaction and design. b. What type of improvements or features would you recommend? c. What type of improvements or features would you recommend for repeat visitors/users? d. Describe how to remove the "pain points". e. Create detailed wireframe(s) that would simplify/improve the "pain points".
