Cemerlang Terbilang Integration Sdn. Bhd. is a computer software training company situated in Klang. Selangor. The company is planning to implement multimedia training over their network. The courses are in a multimedia format combining video, audio and interactive responses. The training company currently has four labs, each lab has 30 computers. Two of the labs will be used for the multimedia training. You are requested to upgrade the existing network shown in Figure 1 which currently uses 10base-T network. Assume all the PCs use 10-Mbps Ethernet NICs. The new logical network design also needs to fulfill all the requirements as follows: - The minimum bandwidth for data exchange through WAN connection is 10Mbps. - Each training lab and other departments must be located at different subnets. The staff departments are separated through a logical segmentation to reduce more switches used - LAN Backbone using fiber optic and a gigabit switch to support high traffic loads. - Provide a dedicated server for multimedia training content and a server to monitor the network performance. . - Provide firewalls to secure the network. - Provide availability and reliability of backbone network connection.
