Ensure that the SSH server is installed, running, and listening for connections $-$ systemctl, ss$,$ and netstat can help here.

Through the command line, configure a static IP address that adds $10$ to the last octet. For instance, if your IP address is $10\mathrm{.}80\mathrm{.}20\mathrm{.}101,$ your new static IP address will be $10\mathrm{.}80\mathrm{.}20\mathrm{.}111.$ Also, statically assign the subnet mask, router and DNS from the previous section. No changes should be made to those values. Take a screenshot of the configuration file after saving, but before quitting.

Using a command line tool, show the current configured static IP address. Take a screenshot of the output.

To ensure internet connectivity, use the host command to query for the IP address of one of your favorite websites. Take a screenshot of the result.

Use tcpdump to start a packet capture. Save the capture file in your home folder somewhere. While tcpdump is running, launch Firefox and go to technet.com. Stop the tcpdump capture.

Use tcpdump again to read the packet capture file, and find the packet which contains the A $($IPv$4)$ record for the technet.com domain. Highlight the line and take a screenshot.
