Chargex has invented a new battery technology that solves nearly all of the issues associated with Lithium Ion batteries. It is called a Quantum Glass battery. Instead of using a liquid electrolyte like a standard lithium battery it uses a solid state electrolyte. That means the dendrites which can form in standard lithium ion batteries and can ultimately cause violent shorts and related res and explosions cannot happen in this new battery technology. It also charges 10 times faster than a standard Ll battery, and it holds 3 times more charge. The engineering team estimates it will cost no more than current Ll battery technology costs at scale. However, the technology is still in the lab phase and has not been produced in volume or at scale, and still needs to undergo extensive life-testing and customer testing to ensure that it really performs as expected in mass production. It is reasonable to assume that this technology is Rare, since Chargex is the only inventor or owner of the battery technology.
