Choosing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for my program

Staff Meeting in June Present: Director, current staff of four teachers and two teaching assistants Observer: Parent board representative

Agenda was distributed by the director and briefly gone over as the group was settling in for the meeting. Topic up for discussion Order a curriculum for the center for the upcoming year. There were several sample curricula on two long tables for review and the staff had been able to review them for the past two weeks.

Director led a group discussion about the evaluation criteria to be used for this process. Several staff members suggested that they choose the curriculum that gave them the most free materials that would save the center money another one said lets just vote without discussing it based on our reviews still another one said we must have an actual evaluation checklist to see which is the most developmentally appropriate for our group.
