Milestone 3 - Analysis and Logical Design (Home Design Solutions)

The purpose of this deliverable is to further define the project at a more detailed level so that you, your champion and I understand what the project is expected to do (you are building on Milestone 2, so make sure that your work for Milestone 2 is fully included in this Milestone). The main goal is to document and clarify the results of the analysis and logical design phases of the proposed systems. Your concern should be that you understand the requirements for the project and that your sponsor continues to endorse your efforts. The contents of the deliverable should correspond to the analysis and logical design phase of the SDLC. This deliverable should contain much of the documentation from the previous deliverables (baseline project). Specifically it should contain the following information (much of this was covered in Milestone 2):

Analysis and Proposed Design

DFD - Include, at a minimum, a Level 0 DFD (Include the Context Level Diagram from the BPP).

ERD - Include an Entity-Relationship Diagram using the following rules: 1. All many to many relationships

are to be resolved; 2. All composite attributes are to be expanded - example - address = street, city, state,

zip; 3. Make sure to normalize to 3rd normal form.

Project Update Statement

Include any information on changes to system requirements, project scope, costs, timeline, etc., since the

Baseline Project Plan.
