-3000 ft Drill pipe (13.375” x 14.415”) 

The bottom 1000 ft of the drill pipe cemented using Class G cement. The length of the shoe joint under the drill pipe is 40 ft. 

The cement slurry will be prepared by mixing the cement with 10% of bentonite and 5% of sodium chloride by weight of cement (BWOC).

 a)Calculate the yield of slurry in terms of cu ft/sack of cement. 

b)Calculate the density of the slurry in terms of lbm/gal. 

c)Calculate the number of sacks of cement that is required for the cement job.
