Collaboration is when a group of people come together and contribute their expertise for the benefit of achieving something. Working together has an important impact on people and organizations as it helps instill a more delightful workplace. In my line of work in order to upgrade a $2000$ ft optical fiber cable in a neighborhood $,$ more collaborative efforts are needed. I can dissect the collaboration our team faces to two elements;

A$-$ Internal Collaboration:

Engineering: for drawing and new versus damage cables

Warehouse for materials needed for the job

All team briefing

Safe practices

B$-$ External Collaboration:

Contractors; certain tasks are contract out

Compliance with local guidelines $-$ streets closure permits night$/$day work

Locators to locate any other utilities present in area

Safe practices local and federal

Collaborations are always the best way to achieve more for a successful organization. For my team success is measured by how safe the project was completed. The way people collaborate is often gauged by the level of togetherness ; watching each others back is more important than everything else.
