Tasks:

1. Watch the videos 7 Common Types of Infographics and What Makes a Good Infographic

2. Create your infographic using information from your academic assignment. Apply the principles of good design that you learned about at the start of the course.

3. Select a program or application to create your infographic.

PowerPoint - Learn how to use PowerPoint to make an infographic from the video How to create an infographic in PowerPoint.

Canva or Visme - These are two applications that have infographic templates you can edit.

4. Use the Infographic Checklist provided on page 2 to check your work..

5. Show your infographic to a classmate and ask for feedback Use the e-mail on page 3 to request feedback. Make changes suggested if you feel these will improve the final product.

6. Submit your infographic by attaching the file or URL link.

INFOGRAPHIC CHECKLIST

• Does the infographic tell a story?

• Does the infographic take the reader's eyes on a predefined journey?

• Does the infographic provide a new angle (way to show the information)?

• Does the infographic bring value to the reader?

• Is the infographic well structured (organized)?

• Does the infographic send one key message?

• Is the infographic visually appealing? (Avoids too much text, has a harmonious, clean design)?

• Is the information accurate and well researched?

• Is the information in bite-sized pieces to make it easy for the reader to understand?

• Are References listed at the bottom of the infographic?

• Is the wording clear and correct?

• Has the infographic been proofread for spelling, punctuation, and grammar?
