There is many different advantages and disadvantages that come with project management softwares. First of all, the main benefit of project management software may be cost control. Most project management softwares include tools that can aid in keeping track of project expenditures. This helps keeping track of possible risks and decisions. Furthermore, another tool is, that it keeps everything centralized and together. "When you have everything around in one platform, managing a project becomes easier" (Lenihan, 2019). It also makes it very easy to keep every team-member updated and helps, preventing unexpected instances. Next, project management softwares help establish clear goals for the company. With a management software it becomes very easy to set goals and achieve success. "This helps bring in transparency to the projects and promotes better growth as well (...) This ensures that not only are the projects completed on time but within budget too" (Lenihan, 2019). Lastly, one of the most common and important benefits of project management software's is the ability to track progress. It is highly recommended to track the progress of the project at each stage. This allows us to identify risks and even prevent any form of potential crisis. If you are working on multiple projects at the same time, it is nice to have a software to guide you. All in all centralized data storage makes tracking issues a lot easier.

Even tough, all of this sounds very promising there is also a few disadvantages that come with project management software's. Quality project management software comes at a cost. In addition to software costs, there are also maintenance costs which some companies are not able to afford. Project management software is designed to help companies organize things more efficiently, but learning the system can take time. Due to the complexitiy of the program, the learning process must be taken into consideration. "Project managers will need to learn how to use the program's key features and ensure that their team members learn how to use the components relevant to the tasks they need to perform" (Donais, 2017).
