Complete the following steps: 1. In your Azure portal, create a new Virtual machine in a new resource group. Use the Windows Server 2019 Datacenter image and the B1s VM size. 2. While the VM is being created, in the navigation pane on the left, click Monitor. In the Monitor menu, click Alerts. Before you can configure an alert, you need an action group. Action groups are similar in concept to AWS's topics and determine where alert notifications are sent. At the top of the Alerts page, click Manage actions. 3. On the Manage actions page, click + Add action group. Give the action group a name, such as AdminAttention. Give the action group a short name, such as CloudAdmin. Use the same resource group as the one you created for your VM. 4. Under Actions, give the action a name, such as MsgMe. Select the Email/SMS/Push/Voice action type. The Email/SMS/Push/Voice blade opens. Click to select the Email check box and enter your email address in the field below. Scroll down and click OK. On the Add action group blade, click OK. 5. By this time, your VM should be deployed. Return to the Virtual machines service, and click your new VM. On the Overview page, scroll down to see the various metrics running by default for your VM. What visualizations are listed here? 6. In the VM's navigation menu, scroll down and click Alerts. Click + New alert rule. The VM is already selected under RESOURCE. Under CONDITION, click Add. Note the warning that an Activity log alert rule needs up to 5 minutes to become active. Click Create alert rule. 10. Return to the VM's Overview page and wait at least 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, click Stop and then click OK. What happens? 11. Return to the Monitor service and click Alerts in the navigation menu to examine additional information about the alert status. 12.
