Compose a planning proposal for improving an unsatisfactory situation in your workplace. (e.g., poor lighting, drab atmosphere, health hazards, work station, poor parking or seating arrangements, etc.). Choose a problem or situation whose resolution is more a matter of practicality/common sense and observation than of intensive research. Be sure to do the following: Identify the problem clearly, give background, and stimulate interest.

• State clearly the methods proposed to solve the problem.
• Cite a minimum of fivesources that validate the need to address the issue and/or which validate your proposed solution.
• Conclude with a statement designed to gain the audience's support for your proposal.

Your audience, to whom your proposal should be addressed, can be of your choosing, whether it is a funding committee, a landlord, a manager, etc.
