Computer programs, like most forms of technology, are designed to solve problems. For example, computer simulations can be used to test the aerodynamic properties of new, experimental aircraft designs without needing to build a physical prototype and risk the life of a test pilot (at least, until the simulator confirms that the new design is likely to fly without any significant problems). There are many ways in which computers (and technology in general) can be used to significantly improve people's lives, whether directly or indirectly. Using online or other sources, BRIEFLY (in no more than 1-2 paragraphs per example) describe TWO different examples of this practice, often called "Computing for Good". Each example should describe a computer-based technology that either directly benefits its user(s) or contributes to the overall benefit of society (15 points per example). 15.
