Computing is an interconnected web of emerging technologies. Take the growth of mobile smartphones: Any number of previously isolated technologies has amalgamated into a single smartphone. As one of those technologies improves, it can be leveraged by other programs on the device. Such interconnectivity is not limited to the mobile space either. Throughout this module, you have come across concepts and technologies such as virtualization, cloud computing and green computing too. Compared to the rest of computing technology, all three of these technologies are still quite in their infancy. Regardless of newness, however, they already provide invaluable services, as well as incredible potential with improvements. For this Hand-In Assignment you will analyze two of these emerging technologies and how their improvements connect with one another. Review your Weekly Learning Resources with a focus on virtualization, cloud computing and green computing. Select at least two of the three technologies provided (focus virtualization, cloud computing and green computing). Research your two selected technologies with a focus on what they do, where improvements are being made and how they are connected. Reflect on how improvement of each of your selected technologies can bring improvements to the other. Submit a 2-3 paragraph paper in which you address the following: Analyze two of the three technologies provided (focus virtualization, cloud computing and green computing). Summaries what each of your two selected technologies is, and what the technology does. Explain what improvements are currently being made for your selected technologies. Explain how your two selected technologies are related and how improvements for one will bring improvements for the other.
