Conceptual Model Development Each student should choose an industry where he$/$she works or likes to pursue their career and should study the supply chain related challenges faced by this industry. Students should identify various partners of the supply chain and understand the role these partners play in the selected industry. Further, students should have discussions with the managers to identify the outcomes of supply chain which are predominantly expected in the industry $($for example, reducing delivery time or improving product quality$).$ In addition, students should do a literature review using databases subscribed by the Southern Connecticut State University such as ABI$/$INFORM Complete or Academic Search Premier to identify factors that are supportive to achieve the expected outcomes of the supply chain $($for example, top management support, supply chain integration, IT implementation$).$ Thereafter, students should build a conceptual model in which roles of the relevant factors should be clearly outlined to achieve the expected supply chain outcomes. The report and presentation should cover the following areas: a$)$ The importance of achieving the outcomes of supply chain that managers expected; b$)$ Details of the methodology of the literature review conducted to identify the factors; c$)$ The gaps identified in the literature, and theories that would potentially be advanced; d$)$ Detailed explanation of the roles of the factors in the conceptual model; and e$)$ Arguments and supporting literature evidence for each hypothesis representing the relationship specified in the conceptual model.
