Conduct a queueing study.

Select a company that uses queues to manage production or customers. Provide a general overview of the company (a brief history, its values, products or services, number and location of facilities, future plans or strategic vision, etc.). Conduct a queueing study at the company location to collect average interarrival time, service time, and other data in order to complete a thorough analysis. Include the date, start and end times of your study, location, and methodology. Describe the six basic characteristics of you queueing system, draw a sketch of the system, and then select and justify an appropriate queueing model (one we have discussed thus far in the semester); in addition, discuss whether balking, reneging and other behaviors are permissible, anticipated, or relevant. Use QtsPlus to generate model results and then analyze them. Make some recommendations to improve production or service; include an estimate of the cost incurred to adopt your recommendations.
