Conduct an initial External Analysis on the company Forestar Group (FOR)

For this analysis, review the 8 General Environmental Factors and identify as many trends as you can under each of the 8 Factors. Be as thorough as you can in identifying real-world trends or events taking place under each of the 8 General Environmental Factors. Once you have identified these macro trends, look at your list and think through the impact of your list on the industry of the company your group has selected. Are these trends creating pressure (risks) or new opportunities for the industry as a whole? Make a list of the threats and a list of the opportunities that are being created within the industry as a whole due to the factors you have identified. List one insight you have developed about your industry or company as a result of this assignment.

1) You will need to have a well-researched list of trends or events under each of the 8 General Environmental Factors (if you have 4 or 5 for each Factor, that is probably not deep enough).

2) Create a list of multiple threats that are being created within the industry as a result of your research for #1 (again 1 or 2 threats is not a deep enough list).

3) Create a list of multiple opportunities that are being created within the industry as a result of your research for #1 (again 1 or 2 opportunities is not a deep enough list).

4) List at least 1 unique insight you have developed about your industry or company as a result of your research.

This can be done in bullet point format, chart or illustrated format, or in written format depending on what works best for your research.
