Consider the informative speech topic, How to ask someone out, and write three brief introductions.

1. In the first introduction, utilize a short narrative as your attention getter.
2. In the second, an interesting statistic as your attention getter.
3. In the third, a quotation as your attention getter.

Remember to implement each part of an introduction for each one (attention getter, thesis, and preview statement). Treat your introductions as if you were performing an informative speech teaching your audience how to ask someone out. Your introductions should not be more than 3-5 sentences.

Then take a look at your introductions and in a brief paragraph share which one, in your opinion, was most effective? Least effective? Why?
