Question:
Consider those values which shape and guide your practice (as a leader). As you reflect upon which core principles motivate and drive your practice, look at these in terms of behavioural commitment. For if something is truly a value, while it is rooted in bedrock of belief, it goes beyond that. The late Stephen Covey described values as a series of motivating convictions which drive us to act. Once more, it is truly a value, your the proof will be in your own behaviour.
Taken together, outline and describe those values which centrally guide you, whether as leaders (or in your day-to-day life). As you do so, consider how it is that YOU know that a particular principle is truly a core value. Next, how do others know that this a value of yours? Finally, what influence/impact has your commitment to each of these motivation convictions had upon you AND upon others?
