considering my work environment a shop floor, I will say that my coworkers and I are the main sources for our ideas. We have daily firsthand experience and once we establish a routine it gives us room to look for ways to be more efficient and make each move count. There have been a few times where I have had to reach out to the safety department because a process of the job was unsafe or causing injury. When the safety department must get involved, it sometimes fasts tracks things. The last department I was in was a brand$-$new department so there were a lot of kinks to work out in the beginning. The line was not as balanced as they thought it was and my station along with a couple other stations had significantly more work than the other causing us not to be able to keep up with the rest of the line. I ended up having to request for a time study evaluation to be done before anything was done. It took a while but things were balanced out before I left that department. Those are the only sources of which I can think.
