Please take a few moments to review the article. As it notes, Google proceeded with the acquisition despite lack of consent from the Department of Justice--although DOJ consent is not required. As you will see, the Europe Commission did approve the acquisition while the Australian Commission did not. Do you think the antitrust concerns are warranted or misplaced? Do you think it was prudent for Google to proceed despite the lack of DOJ's imprimatur (though not technically needed)? Thoughts?
