Control is important within an organization and specifically for supervisors in order to ensure that assigned $($and completed$)$ activities are providing the desired results. Chapter $5$ in the Dessler text illustrates the importance of using appropriate and timely controls. In many ways, the work of a "classroom" or a set of assignments illustrate how control is linked to all delegated tasks.
