Course - Presentation Fundamentals

Students will be assessed on their ability to deliver a two (2) to five (5) minute presentation about themselves. They are expected to present appropriately to the topic, purpose, and audience. Use non-verbal communication to establish a rapport with the audience, and use voice and visual aids effectively.

Keep the following things in mind:

1. Message structure (Thoughts are easy to understand, the speaker is easy to follow)

2. Charismatic approach (speaker is engaging with the audience)

3. Introduction (clearly identified the topic)

4. Body (message is clear and easy to follow)

5. Conclusion (clear shift in presentation and gentle ending)

6. Natural pauses (speaker takes time to breathe through his/her presentation)
