Create a Business Project: BUS $346($Spring $2024)$

This paper assignment, due on Wednesday, April $24,2024,$ is described below. The paper $(10\%$ of your course grade$)$ requires you to create an original written legal plan for a business. The overall goal is to apply knowledge and information gained dufing the semester to a practical business task. This assignment can be done alone or in a group of up to two $(2)$ students. If done in a group, each student will receive the same grade on the paper. The paper must be organized based on the outlined sections below. It should be written in full sentences and paragraphs. Also, if we have time during the last week of the semester, each student$/$group will give a very short $(5$ minutes or so$)$ summary of his$/$her$/$their project to the class $($we$\text{'}$ll have a sign$-$up sheet for this$).$

You are not permitted to use any outside materials $($i$.$e$.,$ those not posted on Canvas or provided during class time this semester$)$ or outside assistance $($human or otherwise$)$ in completing this assignment. Any suspicious paper will be referred to the Honor Council for investigation and your final grade in the course will not be posted until the investigation is complete.

Your paper should answer the following questions in the order given below. Also, it must use and refer to the legal principles from this course.

I. Introduction

What is the name of your company?

What is the purpose of the business? What, exactly, will you offer $($goods$,$ services, or both$)?$

Where will your company be located? Are there any legal reasons why this location would be advantageous or disadvantageous to your business?

II$.$ Dispute Resolution

Discuss how the company should attempt to resolve the following two $(2)$ disputes:

$($a$)$ a claim by a client, customer, or a supplier that your company breached a contract; and

$($b$)$ a claim by a customer that she was injured by the negligence of your company.
