Create a study map for the variables (using box and arrow diagram)

The information: You will work to develop a parsimonious model based on statistical criteria. The dependent variable is height for age z-score (HAZ_WHO).

The independent variables are: informant age, informant education (represented by dummy variables), child age, sex, birth weight, diarrhea in the past 2 weeks, WAZ_WHO.

The research question for this week is: "Does a child's age predict growth for Peruvian children <2 years old living in regions of the Andean mountains?"

This question is based on the theory that growth faltering (represented by low HAZ, < -2sd) increases as children age--if they are fed inadequate diets (breastfeeding & solid food), experience increased illness due to inadequate hygiene in the homes and have insufficient opportunities for play and development.
